Senior undergraduate Ben Van Doren has been selected as Cornell&#8217;s only Marshall Scholar, winning this very prestigious fellowship for post-graduate study at Oxford University where he will continue to study aspects of avian migration. Ben&#8217;s honors research in our lab includes his comparative study of migration in stonechats, for which he has already generated and analyzed whole-genome data from many individual birds. Ben&#8217;s broader engagement with birds, research, and Cornell is too extensive to easily summarize here, but you can read about much of it in <a href=\"http:\/\/news.cornell.edu\/stories\/2015\/11\/benjamin-van-doren-wins-2016-marshall-scholarship\">Cornell&#8217;s press release<\/a> about Ben&#8217;s accomplishments.
