In the Fall Shawn will begin working here on the genomics of hybrids zones in the Great Plains, based in part on the CUMV&#8217;s large collection of hybrid specimens from the 1950s. Shawn is currently completing his PhD under (another lab group alumnus) Matt Carling at the University of Wyoming; previously Shawn was a Cornell undergraduate (Class of 2009), and then a Lab of Ornithology staff member (2009-11) while working on the Bird Families of the World book.
