Shawn Billerman on sapsuckers at NAOC: Just a few weeks before his dissertation defense at the University of Wyoming, Shawn gave an exciting update on his PhD study of sapsucker hybridization, which he has studied in the field, with genomics, and via niche modelling. Shawn did this work with his advisor Matt Carling at the University of Wyoming and so Shawn is not technically a member of our current lab group at present … but as a former undergrad in our lab, as an incoming postdoc this Fall, and with an advisor who was also a former postdoc here, his ‘relatedness coefficient’ to our group remains pretty darn high. Good luck to Shawn on his defense, and we are greatly looking forward to having soon-to-be \"IMG_1010\"<\/a>Dr. Billerman back at the Lab in October!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
