Dr. Shawn Billerman returns as a postdoc!

We are all very excited that Shawn Billerman has just arrived back at the Lab in his new role as an NSF postdoctoral fellow!  Shawn will be working on the genomics of birds that hybridize in the Great Plains region, taking advantage of the extensive collections from that region that are housed in the Cornell Museum of Vertebrates. This is a natural extension of Shawn’s PhD research on the hybridization genomics of sapsuckers in western North America. This move back to Cornell is a homecoming of sorts, as Shawn was very involved at the Lab during his four undergraduate years here at Cornell, and also for about 18 months afterwards when he was on staff here working on the Bird Families project. Welcome back, Shawn!me_whim_aj
