Jen, Stepfanie, and Gemma lead symposium on hybridization

Grad student Stepfanie Aguillon and postdocs Jen Walsh and Gemma Clucas co-organized a great AOS conference symposium on Lessons from Avian Hybrid Zones and the Maintenance of Species Boundaries. The symposium was filled with cutting-edge research presented by people from many institutions, representing a great variety of study systems and approaches but linked by being at the forefront of a particularly exciting area of advancement in science. The symposium was led off by a holistic overview presented by Jen in which she reviewed the many ways that studies of hybrid zones can inform our understanding of general processes of differentiation and speciation.
